褚红超博士,本科毕业于同济大学,后赴德国深造,先后获得斯图加特大学硕士学位和亚琛工业大学博士学位。在亚琛工业大学攻读博士期间,他在Heinz Pitsch教授和Stefan Pischinger教授的联合指导下,专注于湍流燃烧数值模拟研究。2022年12月起,他担任亚琛工业大学燃烧技术研究所应用反应流课题组组长。褚博士已在Combustion and Flame、Journal of Fluid Mechanics和Proceedings of the Combustion Institute等国际顶级期刊发表多篇学术论文,其研究成果获得第39届国际燃烧会议湍流火焰专题杰出论文奖。


报告摘要

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, hydrogen is a promising carbon-free fuel for industrial and residential burners, as well as for internal combustion engines, particularly in heavy-duty vehicles. However, challenges arise from its specific molecular transport and combustion properties, which differ significantly from conventional hydrocarbon fuels. In particular, lean hydrogen flames are prone to differential diffusion and thermodiffusive instabilities that significantly affect flame dynamics, heat release rates, and NOx formation. This study systematically investigates the effects of differential diffusion on hydrogen flames under internal combustion engine conditions, with emphasis on fuel consumption speed and interactions with mixture inhomogeneities. Building on this foundation, we propose a novel extension of the turbulent flame speed model within the G-equation approach to incorporate thermodiffusive instabilities in lean premixed hydrogen flames. The validation range of the proposed model and the underlying assumptions are thoroughly discussed.
